The Opportunity Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providin

g interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.

The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship.

Program Details An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora’s career growth opportunities.

2025 Program Dates

  • June 1 - August 14, 2026
  • Working hours: 36hrs/week. Monday – Friday, PST
  • June 22– 26, 2026: On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office
  • June 29 – July 3, 2026: Week off for Summer Shutdown

POSITION TITLE: Intern, IT AI Automation Engineer YOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA... The Quality Engineering (QE) team at Sephora is responsible to drive quality across product and processes. In addition to testing the product, the QE team seeks to cultivate a quality culture that produces best in class product security, reliability, usability, and performance across our product development teams.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Build testing and automation infrastructure that will produce immediate customer impact.
  • Gain exposure to the entire Software Development Life Cycle while driving quality for key business projects in an agile environment.
  • Contribute to the growth and innovation in making product testing more efficient and complete.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Working on completing an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests specifically for GenAI models and applications, including testing for accuracy, bias, and robustness.
  • Evaluate and integrate GenAI and Agentic AI agents and techniques into our existing automation frameworks.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze test results, with a focus on identifying and addressing issues related to GenAI performance and output
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of test data, using GenAI tools and AI agents
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing, Gen AI and Agentic AI processes and methodologies,
  • Learn and apply new testing techniques and technologies related to GenAI and Agentic AI.
  • Create test reports and communicate test results to the team.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium etc. is a big plus.
  • Proficiency in any programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python etc.
  • Technically sound and excited to disrupt and innovate.
  • Enjoy removing the redundancy of manual tasks by providing an automated solution.
  • Passion for understanding our customers and impacting their day-to-day processes and tasks in a positive fashion.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Graduating in 2026 or 2027 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
  • Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time
  • Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.
  • Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *
  • Available from June 1 - August 14, 2026
  • Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA

The target hourly pay for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
