Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented junior data analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate is eager to build their analytical skills while supporting our data operations through report generation and quality assurance activities. In this entry-level role, you will work primarily with Tableau and Excel to run regular reports, perform data quality checks, prepare data for analysis and learn querying techniques under the guidance of senior team members.
The successful candidate demonstrates a keen eye for detail and strong time management abilities. You should be comfortable working with data, following established processes, and identifying inconsistencies or errors. This position requires someone who can manage multiple reporting deadlines, take initiative on assigned tasks, and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. No prior professional experience is required, just a genuine interest in data analysis and a commitment to accuracy and continuous learning.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Run reports using Excel and Tableau based on established templates
- Assist senior analysts in preparing client-facing reports and presentations
- Learn to extract data from various sources and begin training on SQL querying
- Perform routine quality checks to identify errors, inconsistencies, and missing information
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in all assigned reports and dashboards
- Document and report data discrepancies to senior team members for resolution
- Support the team in updating existing dashboards and visualizations in Tableau
- Follow department processes for tracking work, managing deadlines, and documentation
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs
- Assist with ad-hoc data requests and special projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or similar) or equivalent experience
- Prior use of Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data manipulation
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools (academic or personal projects acceptable)
- Willingness to learn SQL and database querying techniques
- Strong attention to detail with ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in data
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities with eagerness to develop these skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures accurately
- Comfortable working both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively in a team setting
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning new tools and techniques
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities
- Knowledge of healthcare or pharmaceutical industry a plus, but not required
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, quantitative analysis, analytics, or a related field or equivalent experience

- Hybrid working if within 40 miles of a Relevate Health Office (Dallas, Boston, Cincinnati, New Jersey)
