Role Description
As a Senior Network Engineer at Proactive IT Limited, you will take the lead in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable network systems. This full-time, fully remote role requires you to troubleshoot complex issues, drive network performance improvements, and integrate new technologies. You will collaborate proactively with internal IT teams, field engineers, and site IT administrators to deliver high-reliability network solutions that support critical business operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least 5+ years of experience in a network engineering role.
- Previous experience with an IT integrator, consulting service, or MSP environment.
- Current CCNP, JNCIP certification (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge and experience across networking technologies:
- Fortinet, Cisco/Meraki, HP-Aruba, Palo Alto.
- Experience working within the ITIL framework (certifications are highly regarded).
Goals:
- Build customer network infrastructure according to design, statement of work, and client delivery standards.
- Deliver excellence in project engineering skills and communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as a Level 3 Network Infrastructure Engineer within the Professional Services team.
- Be an escalation point for network provisioning engineers.
- Stay up to date with network and network security technologies, suggesting improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with delivery timeframes, standards, and practices.
- Familiarity with related technologies, including AV solutions, workspace management platforms, and access control systems, is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable network solutions tailored to customer needs, with a focus on Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting.
- Develop High/Low Level Design, Planning, and Migration Documents.
- Ensure project delivery meets design, SOW, and scheduling milestones.
- Network configuration, testing, and seamless cutover ensuring scalable, secure, redundant, and reliable solutions.
- Assist provisioning and field teams with WAN configuration, testing, and cutovers.
- Resolve project-related incidents according to SLA.
- Adhere to client-specific incident and change management procedures.
- Escalate blockers and suggest alternative approaches where necessary.
- Deliver all project artefacts: As-built documentation, Detailed Design Documents, UAT documents.
- Provide knowledge transfer and operational handover to support teams.
- Provide 2nd line support for all network-related issues and assist with 1st line support when needed
