As a Software Development Intern, you will be working to support internal and external customer needs, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams, receive mentorship, and gain insight into our value-driven process. You will join our team of passionate and knowledgeable engineers to help build the systems that power our applications and contribute to continuously improving our engineering practices. Our goal is both to support your growth and development while empowering you for a successful start to your career. This position works with Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS) development on backend services.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside other so ft ware engineers to elevate technology and consistently apply best prac ti ces for design, coding standards, performance, security, delivery, and maintainability.
- Work with product management and your team to analyze and decompose complex so ft ware requirements into simple user stories for planning and execu ti on.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in exis ti ng systems and pla tf orms.
- Address technical debt issues iden tifi ed.
- Basic programming knowledge. Working on or toward a bachelor’s degree in a computer science field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with source code management tools such as git.
