We’re looking for an Intern - Data Engineer to join our team. If you enjoy problem-solving, are always curious, and aren't afraid to push the boundaries of what's possible, we want to hear from you.
What will you be responsible for?
- Assist in supporting the data and analytics system, including data ingestion, transformation, and preparation for reporting.
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of data pipelines under guidance from data engineers.
- Assist in troubleshooting data issues and escalate when necessary.
- Partner with development, operations, and business stakeholders to understand basic data requirements.
- Write and maintain scripts to support data ingestion, syncing, and basic automation tasks.
- Contribute to building curated datasets for analytics and reporting needs.
- Document processes and workflows as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
What do you need to have to apply for this position?
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Exposure to SQL and Python.
- Exposure to relational databases such as PostgreSQL or similar.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and services such as RDS, S3, and Lambda.
- Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing fundamentals.
- Exposure to version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
