We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer (R&D Focus) who excels at the intersection of cutting-edge research and industrial applications.
In this role, you will not be limited to "using" AI; you will be inventing it. You will play a leading role in the research and development of AI algorithms designed to handle the extreme variability of natural products.
What you will do:
- Innovate & Invent: Research, design, and implement novel algorithms and custom deep learning architectures.
- From Paper to Production: Monitor the latest research, read cutting-edge papers, and translate theoretical concepts into robust production code.
- Hardware-Aware AI: Work deeply with the data acquisition pipeline. Data quality is paramount.
- High-Performance Computing: Bridging the Gap between High-Level Logic and Low-Level Optimization. You will deploy models in settings where latency and efficiency are critical.
- Lead R&D: Mentor junior engineers, drive the technical roadmap for our AI systems, and run experiments to push the boundaries of accuracy in unstructured environments.
- Experience: You have worked on real-world R&D projects and applications for 2-3 years.
- R&D Mindset: A proven track record of implementing complex algorithms from research papers. You are comfortable reading mathematical notation and converting it into code.
- Strong Math Foundation: Deep understanding of Linear Algebra, Probability, and Optimization techniques behind Deep Learning.
- Dual-Stack Proficiency: Expert-level Python for research/training (PyTorch/TensorFlow) for high-performance deployment and hardware integration.
- Sensor & Hardware Expertise: Experience with industrial cameras, lenses, sensor physics, and lighting techniques. You understand how the physical world translates into pixel data.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Robotics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Experience with supervised, unsupervised, contrastive, and few-shot learning.
- A Portfolio of novel implementation projects.
