Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a MERN Stack Developer – Intern located in Kurunegala. The intern will actively participate in both front-end and back-end development using the MERN stack. You will work closely with designers, marketers, and senior developers to build, optimize, and maintain web applications used in real client projects. Responsibilities include developing new features, improving existing systems, writing clean and reusable code, testing and debugging applications, integrating third-party and internal APIs, managing databases, and assisting with deployment and performance optimization while following best development practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop front-end interfaces using React.js with responsive and user-friendly UI
Build and maintain back-end services using Node.js and Express.js
Design and manage MongoDB databases and data models
Create and consume RESTful APIs
Debug, test, and optimize applications for performance and scalability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines
Follow version control and team workflows using Git
Learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and technologies as required
Qualifications
Knowledge of MERN Stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js
Proficiency in front-end development using React.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Understanding of back-end development concepts with Node.js and Express.js
Experience with RESTful APIs and basic database design using MongoDB
Familiarity with Git, modern development tools, and software development workflows
Strong understanding of CSS for responsive, clean, and user-friendly interfaces
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
