Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented UI/UX Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for our websites and applications. You will work closely with designers and developers to ensure that the user experience is intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable across all platforms and devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- UI/UX Design:
- Design and create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
- Ensure designs align with the overall product vision and are consistent with brand guidelines.
- Focus on creating intuitive, user-centered designs that solve user problems effectively.
- User Research & Testing:
- Conduct user research (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing) to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Analyze feedback and usability testing results to improve design.
- Iterate on designs based on user testing and feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members to ensure designs are feasible and align with technical requirements.
- Translate business and user needs into functional and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Provide design guidance and support to the development team during implementation.
- Prototyping & Interaction Design:
- Develop interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and user flows.
- Create smooth and intuitive animations and transitions to enhance the user experience.
- Ensure design elements work well across different screen sizes and devices (responsive design).
- UI/UX Documentation:
- Create design specifications, style guides, and assets for development.
- Maintain organized documentation of design processes, including user flows and wireframes.
- Continuous Learning & Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices in UI/UX design.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for improving the product and process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Developer, Designer, or similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design skills, including web and mobile interfaces.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or InVision.
- Knowledge of front-end development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (basic understanding of front-end development is a plus, but not necessary).
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first design principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present design concepts clearly.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with user testing and tools
- Experience with adhering to brand guidelines while closely working with the marketing end.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
- Understanding of accessibility (a11y) principles and WCAG standards.
- Familiarity with animation tools like Principle or After Effects.
