Job Summary
- SilvelineIT is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer Intern with a strong interest in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automating infrastructure, and optimizing cloud environments. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced DevOps and development teams, contributing to real-world projects and learning best practices in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other related tools.
- Support the automation of infrastructure provisioning and deployments utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Bicep, or Terraform.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline software development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Contribute to the monitoring and optimization of Azure environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to builds, deployments, and cloud infrastructure.
- Assist in managing version control systems, primarily Git, for code management.
- Learn and apply best practices for cloud security, including role-based access control (RBAC) and managing secrets with Azure Key Vault.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of documentation for processes, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging DevOps and Azure cloud technologies.
Our Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Strong foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts, ideally with some exposure to Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Basic understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
- An eagerness to learn about CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior academic projects or personal experience with Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus.
