At Star, we’re a world-class apparel sourcing, design, and manufacturing company. We provide expert, seamless execution in product development, technical innovation, on-time delivery, and personalized customer service to ensure the best quality and value for each customer.

Komar is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior QA Engineer to join our digital development team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our Shopify and WordPress websites, supporting multiple brand and e-commerce initiatives. Working closely with developers, designers, and project leads, you’ll help maintain a seamless user experience across all digital touchpoints.

You are required to work remotely and for USA hours and must be flexible with your working hours.

What we offer you:

  • As part of large, nimble team, you’ll work alongside senior developers and designers to deliver high-quality digital experiences across Komar’s portfolio of brands.
  • This role offers strong mentorship, exposure to modern web technologies, and the opportunity to grow into a mid-level QA or automation specialist.
  • If you’re curious, detail-driven, and passionate about improving user experience through quality, this is the perfect place to develop your career.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for Shopify and WordPress websites.
  • Conduct functional, regression, usability, and cross-browser testing to identify bugs and inconsistencies.
  • Validate new features and updates before deployment to ensure they meet business and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues, verify fixes, and ensure code quality across releases.
  • Create and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, bug reports, and release notes.
  • Participate in agile sprint cycles — contributing to planning, standups, and retrospectives.
  • Assist in setting up automated testing workflows using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (a plus).
  • Continuously monitor website performance and identify opportunities for improvement in speed and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience (or strong internship/project experience) in software quality assurance or web testing.
  • Familiarity with Shopify and WordPress ecosystems, including testing front-end themes and integrations.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for UI verification.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or Asana).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to document and communicate issues clearly.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
  • Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and web performance metrics.
  • Exposure to agile development methodologies and CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
