We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer with a strong interest in both automated and manual testing for modern web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of testing web apps built with a .NET backend and ReactJS/Next.js frontend, and is eager to learn and grow in using tools such as Playwright to automate test flows. You should have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality, and the ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in QA testing for web and mobile applications
- Proven experience in Playwright automation
- Strong background in manual testing, including exploratory and edge case testing
- Experience testing applications with .NET backend and Next.js frontend
- Proficiency in testing REST APIs and validating responses
- Good knowledge of SQL for data verification
- Familiarity with Jira, Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
- Experience testing iOS and Android apps
- Understanding of responsive and accessible design testing
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
- Execute and maintain manual test cases for regression, exploratory, and UI testing
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand feature requirements and edge cases
- Test both frontend and backend features thoroughly, including APIs and databases
- Perform cross-browser and responsive testing to ensure consistent UX
- Validate accessibility and usability across platforms
- Conduct API testing using Postman or Swagger and validate data using SQL
- Log and track bugs in Jira, with detailed reproduction steps and impact analysis
- Contribute to test strategy, improve test coverage, and help evolve QA best practices
- Support performance and reliability testing efforts
Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to BDD & SpecFlow
- Experience with messaging or communication platforms
- Familiarity with real-time messaging frameworks (e.g., SignalR, WebSockets)
- Knowledge of performance testing tools
- Experience with cloud-based CI/CD workflows
- Experience with AI-based productivity tools
