Anvarta is on the lookout for a Website Developer to join our small (but mighty!) team. We’re a purpose-driven startup helping organisations in Australia and APAC navigate the future of sustainability, circular economy, and regenerative business.

This isn’t just a “build what we say” role—you’ll help shape our digital presence, improve web performance, and support how we communicate our impact to the world.

What you’ll be doing

• Building, updating, and optimising our websites (WordPress experience is a big plus)
• Translating design concepts into responsive, high-performing web pages
• Troubleshooting bugs and improving website performance, speed, and security
• Managing hosting, domains, and plugins to ensure smooth functionality
• Supporting landing pages for campaigns, events, and lead generation
• Collaborating with the marketing team to bring content and visuals to life
• Suggesting improvements to enhance user experience and accessibility
• Ensuring SEO best practices across all web builds

What you bring

• 2–3 years of experience in website development or front-end development
• Strong skills in WordPress, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
• Experience with website management, hosting platforms, and plugin optimisation
• Understanding of responsive design, UI/UX basics, and mobile-first development
• An eye for clean, modern design and user-friendly interfaces
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Self-starter mindset—we’re remote, so initiative is everything
• Bonus: Exposure to SEO, analytics tools, or design tools (Figma/Canva)

• Flexible work location: Work from home
• Organisation: A start-up with a hybrid setup in Sri Lanka and overseas
• Work facilities: Self-provided (computer, internet)
• Remuneration: Competitive remuneration in LKR (to be discussed during recruitment)
