We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern - Technical to join our team. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT operations, systems support, and troubleshooting within a professional environment. The successful candidate will work alongside our IT staff to support day-to-day technical needs, contribute to ongoing projects, and develop practical skills that complement academic learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
- Provide first-line technical support to staff, resolving common IT issues in a timely manner.
- Support system upgrades, data backups, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Contribute to IT documentation and help maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.
- Participate in ongoing IT projects, offering research and technical support where required.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (NVQ Level 4 or higher is highly appreciated).
- Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux, mac OS), and networking principles.
- Familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms.
- Basic understanding of programming, databases, or cyber security concepts is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
