Role summary
We’re seeking a motivated Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking Intern to join our security team. You’ll assist with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security monitoring while learning practical tools and frameworks under senior supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Support internal vulnerability assessments and penetration tests (web, network, basic mobile).
- Assist with security configuration reviews and hardening recommendations.
- Help monitor security alerts and triage potential incidents.
- Document findings and prepare clear technical and non-technical reports.
- Research new vulnerabilities, tools, and attack techniques.
- Work with developers to reproduce/fix vulnerabilities and verify remediations.
- Follow safe, authorized testing procedures and maintain strict confidentiality.
What you’ll learn
- Hands-on experience with basic pentesting tools (e.g., Nmap, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).
- Vulnerability assessment and reporting best practices.
- Secure coding concepts and remediation workflows.
- Basics of incident triage and security monitoring.
Required qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, web application architecture, and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
- Comfortable using Linux and command-line tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication.
