We are on the lookout for an Intern - Data Engineer!
Job Role
- Work on data models, data storage, cleansing, validation, integration, transformation, and migration to manage data within the organization.
- Design and optimize data models for improved performance and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to integrate data from various sources.
- Support the design, development, and optimization of new and existing BI solutions.
- Collaborate with business users to understand data needs and enhance self-service analytics.
- Troubleshoot data performance and integration issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Assist in the design and development of data governance practices and artifacts, including data quality, data dictionaries, business glossaries, data standards, and policies.
- Any other projects/tasks as requested by the Management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Passionate about Sri Lanka; you're committed to making a positive impact for our Country and its people.
- Final year, final semester or completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Familiar with big data technologies & cloud-based concepts.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python & PySpark.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in database technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP or other Cloud Platforms.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
