Key Responsibilities
- Manage relational and non-relational database systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc.)
- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c)
- Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery
- Optimize performance with SQL tuning, AWR/ADDM analysis, and index management
- Conduct backup and recovery operations using RMAN and Data Pump
- Monitor and troubleshoot to ensure uptime and SLA compliance
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and DevOps teams to support applications
Qualifications
- Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) and/or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
- 1–3 years of hands-on DBA experience (Oracle as core expertise)
- Strong skills in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN
- Proficiency in SQL performance tuning
- Experience with Linux-based environments
- Hands-on experience with schema refreshes, tablespace and user management
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
Nice to Have
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MariaDB
- Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)
- Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, Oracle OCI)
- Shell/Bash scripting for automation
- Knowledge of GoldenGate and monitoring tools (OEM, Nagios, Datadog)
