IFS Ultimo, an IFS company headquartered in the Netherlands with more than 2400 global customers, is a leading Enterprise Asset Management software provider with a strong reputation for the completeness, flexibility, and configurability of its SaaS EAM solutions.

We’re building the next generation agentic AI framework - an intelligent, agentic approach that shifts industrial asset management from reactive maintenance to autonomous, proactive operations. Our platform will empower digital agents to onboard assets, manage maintenance, optimize stock, and support technicians, all through intelligent, context-aware interaction.

We are expanding our team and to make this vision a reality, we’re looking for an AI Technical Lead who will bring a wealth of experience in shaping the future of Ultimo.

We’re looking for a candidate with a result-driven mindset and a passion for solving real-world problems through applied AI. You approach challenges with curiosity and initiative, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

There are plenty of opportunities to experiment and develop new ideas and solutions for the product and contribute and influence to the Architecture of our AI Framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide AI Architecture & Platform Strategy
  
  Act as a key advisor on AI trends and infrastructure best practices. Help shape Ultimo’s AI delivery platform with a strong focus on scalable deployment, semantic technologies, vector databases, and integration with our enterprise systems.
• Have ownership on AI Solution Development
  
  Lead the development of AI solutions from concept to production. Leveraging industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Cross Functional Teams
  
  Partner with software engineers, data scientists, software architects, and business analysts to deliver embedded intelligence in our product. Support iterative development, testing, monitoring, and optimization of deployed models in real-world industrial environments.
• AI Champion
  
  Internally, inspire teams with cutting-edge practices and provide practical insights that drive smarter, agent-powered systems. Represent Ultimo’s AI vision externally in universities, student community visits and publishing thought leadership and focus on attracting right talent as we scale the teams.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Machine learning expertise and/or solid Software Engineering skills, demonstrated through successfully completed projects.
• Building Software Solutions related to AI and experience with building Agentic Capabilities
• Some experience with AI Agents and Agent orchestration. E.g: with platforms like; Microsoft Semantic Kernel, AutoGen or CrewAI.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Deep expertise in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining scalable AI/ML systems — including model development, validation, serving, and lifecycle management.
• Strong background in software engineering, DevOps, and MLOps
• Managing multiple priorities, and comfortable working across disciplines
• Experience in programming in C# will be an added advantage
• Familiar with the Agile/Scrum method of working
• Experience with working in a multidisciplinary team
• Broad knowledge in the area of software development
• Is able to make good technical architecture choices
