QA Lead

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to oversee our manual testing team for our tax-based financial technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in QA methodologies, with particular emphasis on financial technology applications and tax-related software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of QA professionals, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and career development.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and quality processes for our tax software products.
• Create, review, and approve detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Coordinate testing activities with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Identify, analyze, track, and facilitate resolution of software defects.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics to continuously improve testing efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Perform end-to-end testing of tax calculations and financial transactions.
• Validate data integrity across multiple systems and platforms.
• Lead UAT sessions with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience with financial technology products, particularly tax-related software.
• Strong understanding of financial compliance requirements and tax regulations.
• Experience leading and developing QA teams of 3+ members.
• Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• Experience with automation testing tools to complement manual testing efforts.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Familiarity with API testing methodologies.
• Experience with financial reporting and tax filing systems.
• Background in accounting or taxation a plus.
