This is a full time hybrid role for a Intern - Web Development located in Homagama. The Intern - Web Development will be responsible for assisting in developing both front-end and back-end components of web applications. Day-to-day tasks include writing and testing code, collaborating with the design team for web design, providing feedback on project specifications, and ensuring code quality and performance.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or completing a degree or diploma in IT or a related field.
- Proficiency in WordPress, Wix, Webflow, and WooCommerce.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for customization.
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices.
- Competence in UI/UX design skills using Figma or Adobe XD.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in web design.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain websites on platforms like WordPress, Wix, and Webflow.
- Manage and update WooCommerce setups, handling product listings, and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to optimize user experience and SEO.
- Conduct routine website testing to ensure high-quality performance and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing web functionalities.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and bring fresh ideas to enhance web presence.
