Lead DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and managing LSEG's suite of SDLC and DevOps related tooling, including integrations with third party tools used for development, quality assurance and operations. The opportunity at LSEG Market Infrastructure Technology Team offers you the challenge to discover and learn new technologies in creating solutions that drive continuous improvement of our processes and tools. This role would require the engagement of multiple teams across the enterprise in order to discover and cater to opportunities where tooling and automation can improve efficiency and quality of deliveries, across the full software development lifecycle including analyzing, designing, coding, testing and deploying the solutions being developed.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, automate, and manage scalable and secure DevOps infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes for high availability and scalability.
- Leverage AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch) to build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure.
- Conduct acceptance testing to ensure service quality and reliability.
- Fix and resolve issues across the DevOps stack, including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Recommend and implement architectural and process improvements, including cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Migrate legacy systems to the cloud and automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate build, integration, and test cycles using GitLab CI/CD, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to identify and resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality internal tools and solutions.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and proactively propose innovative solutions.
- Take ownership of tasks and contribute beyond the defined role when needed.
- Computer Science or equivalent degree from a recognised, accredited university.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD practices, and automation.
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficient in scripting and automation using Python; experience with Java or C++ is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
- Proven ability to work in multi-functional teams and deliver client-focused solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse partners.
