Backend Developer Intern – Power AI-Driven Systems

Ranga Technologies is building AI-first platforms like PineGen — our Pine Script code generation tool used by traders and developers. We’re looking for a Backend Developer Intern with strong technical foundations and a passion for scalable, real-time APIs, LLM integration, and high-performance backend systems. 

📌 Role Summary:

As a Backend Intern, you’ll help design and maintain systems that power multi-user processing, real-time API delivery, and LLM integrations. From scalable REST/WebSocket APIs to async task queues and GPU-powered inference, this internship offers serious exposure to modern backend architecture.

🔧 Technical Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain RESTful and WebSocket APIs using Node.js (preferred) or Python (FastAPI, Express, NestJS)

- Handle parallel and distributed task execution using tools like BullMQ, Celery, Redis Queue, or RabbitMQ

- Integrate with cloud GPU APIs (e.g., Together AI, RunPod, Novita AI) for LLM-based inference

- Design and scale relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)

- Work with caching layers (Redis/Memcached) and optimize query performance

- Implement LLM + RAG pipelines, manage token limits, batch processing, and error recovery

- Deploy and scale APIs using Docker, NGINX/Caddy, and CI/CD tools

🎯 Preferred Skills:

- Strong problem-solving and debugging ability

- Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code

- Familiar with Playwright or Puppeteer (used in PineGen for automation)

- Understanding of async/await, concurrency, and distributed systems

- Real-time monitoring experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) is a plus

- Interest in growth-focused development (we're building for real users — fast!)

- Strong communicator — comfortable working across engineering and product teams

- Proactive — suggest improvements in reliability, speed, and UX
