Role Description
This is a contract role for a Backend Developer Intern – Node.js, MongoDB, Express. The intern will be responsible for designing and developing RESTful APIs, managing databases, and supporting the backend infrastructure for mobile applications. The day-to-day tasks include writing efficient server-side logic, integrating APIs with the Flutter front-end, and ensuring security and performance of backend systems. This is a remote role.
The internship includes a 3-month training program focused on Backend Development + Flutter mobile app development, covering Dart, UI/UX design, Firebase, Google Maps, and AdMob. While the intern’s primary responsibility is backend development, they will be part of the full-stack workflow and gain exposure to modern mobile application development practices. This is an unpaid, task-based opportunity requiring a maximum of 5 hours per day.
Qualifications
- Skills in Node.js, MongoDB, and Express.js for backend development
- Experience with RESTful API design and integration
- Interest in or familiarity with Flutter mobile application development
- Understanding of database schema design and CRUD operations
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
