Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and technically sound Associate Software Developer with experience or strong foundational skills in Next.js and PostgreSQL. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for early-career professionals ready to take the next step in their development career while working closely with a skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Next.js and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, senior developers, and project managers.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code aligned with company coding standards.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Work with RESTful APIs and backend services as required.
• Optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and reliability.
• Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in full-stack development.
• Participate actively in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and on-site team discussions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing final year) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical knowledge or working experience with JavaScript, React.js, and Next.js.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced tech environment.
• Must be available to work on-site full-time from our Mawanella office. (Remote work is not permitted.)

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills):

• Experience with server-side rendering and API routes in Next.js.
• Understanding of database indexing and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• Interest in UI/UX principles or full-stack engineering.
