A prominent US-based software development company is urgently seeking resources for above positions at their Colombo-based development center
Responsibilities:
• Develop and Deploy AI Solutions: Design and implement reliable and highperforming code for AI products that deliver measurable business impact.
• Design and implement RAG architectures that ground LLM outputs in domainspecific data. Integrate vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, FAISS) for similarity search and embeddings.
• Set up observability (logging, metrics, alerts) for production AI systems. Troubleshoot, retrain, and iterate on models to maintain performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work effectively with product, engineering, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment on meeting customer needs.
• Foster Best Practices: Establish and uphold best practices in AI/ML, including rigorous testing, validation, and documentation. Mentor and guide team members to foster a culture of scientific excellence and continuous improvement.
• Share your passion for staying on top of AI trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring new team members.
• Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, Container
Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, CM tools including
Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services
• Analyze & Design - Ensure business and requirements artifacts are created that effectively model the customer's requirements. Use tooling and best practices to create design models from requirements.
• Review - Participate in and lead requirements, design, and code reviews
• Test & Deployment - Work closely with other teams (e.g., QA, configuration management, end users) to release high-quality software. Create testable requirements and write and execute unit tests.
• Quality/process improvement - Participate in group improvement activities and initiatives to improve process and product quality in pursuit of excellence
• Performs other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's or a master's degree in computer science or equivalent technology discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience creating and growing SaaS applications.
• 5+ experience with coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl or Ruby).
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue. Experience with back-end runtimes and frameworks like Node.js, Spring, Spring Boot, Django, Flask, etc.
• Familiarity with the use of ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, and Neo4J as persistent stores
• Experience with the development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
• Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.
• At least 3 years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• 3+ years of experience with Terraform/Ansible, container orchestration services including Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Data Science using Python is highly preferred.
• Experience building AI solutions using AWS Bedrock/Azure Cognitive services is highly preferred
• 3+ years of experience working with Agile Development Practices
• A team player, self-starter, and detail-oriented with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have strong time management skills - including the ability to work well under pressure, plan, set priorities, adapt to change, and meet established timelines.
