Overview
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our Validation Authority engineering team, with a primary focus on automation testing and CI/CD pipelines. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers and QA professionals to design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks using TestNG / ATS, and to integrate tests into modern CI/CD workflows. This internship provides hands-on experience with real-world systems, tools, and best practices in software quality and DevOps.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using TestNG / ATS
- Execute and analyze automated test suites for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and identify test scenarios
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Monitor pipeline execution results and help troubleshoot test failures
- Contribute to improving test coverage, reliability, and execution time
- Maintain test documentation and report defects with clear reproduction steps
- Learn and apply best practices in software testing, automation, and DevOps
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Basic programming experience in Java (or a similar language)
- Familiarity with automation testing concepts and frameworks (TestNG preferred)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Basic knowledge of Git or other version control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing
