The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team. In this role, you’ll support the development of high-quality proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for projects within the municipal sector.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with technical writing, content editing, and visual storytelling while working alongside experienced marketing and engineering professionals. Position Summary
Essential Functions
- Support the development of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials
- Assist with editing resumes, project descriptions, and technical content
- Help format documents and presentations using tools like PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite
- Contribute to graphics, layouts, and visual elements to enhance proposals
- Organize and maintain marketing materials in internal databases
- Collaborate with marketing team members and project staff to gather information
- Help track deadlines and support the proposal schedule
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field
- Strong writing, editing, and attention to detail
- Interest in technical or professional services marketing (A/E/C experience is a plus, not required)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Word)
- Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Ability to manage time, stay organized, and work in a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequent use of a computer, including typing and viewing digital documents
- Ability to read, analyze, and review written and visual content on a screen
- Occasionally required to move about the office to access files, attend meetings, or collaborate with team members
- May need to lift or move materials up to 10–15 pounds (e.g., marketing materials, boxes, or equipment)
Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
- Primarily operates in a professional office or remote work environment
- Work is typically performed in a quiet, climate-controlled setting
- Frequent use of computers, virtual collaboration tools, and digital platforms
- Regular interaction with team members across multiple locations
- May require participation in virtual or in-person meetings
- Occasional fluctuations in workload based on proposal deadlines, which may require extended focus or adjusted schedules
Salary: 20-27/hour
