Internship program dates: June 8 - August 21, 2026 Education Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. General Description The AI Engineering Intern will support the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered solutions. This role provides hands-on experience with modern AI engineering practices, including LLM applications, AI-assisted software development, workflow automation, and production-ready AI systems.

Essential Functions Of The Job

  • Support development of AI-powered applications and workflows.
  • Gain exposure to LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and multi-agent systems.
  • Assist with prompt design, tool use, agent orchestration, and AI workflow automation.
  • Work with AI coding tools to improve development, debugging, and documentation.
  • Support model integration, testing, evaluation, and production monitoring.
  • Learn modern AI frameworks and practices such as LangGraph-style workflows, reusable skills, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop processes.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Python or another modern programming language. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLMs, APIs, and software development practices.
  • Exposure to modern AI engineering tools and frameworks.
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of Git, testing, debugging, and technical documentation.

Other Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Clinical trial, life sciences, healthcare, and previous software engineering experience preferred.

Travel: Not required

Pay Rates Bachelors: $27/hour USD

Masters: $30/hour USD

Salary Range: $ - $ per hour

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
