We're offering a paid internship on our Product Engineering team for anyone looking to build real, user-facing features at a fast-moving startup. It's a full-stack role with more emphasis on backend. You'll be contributing code that event marketers rely on every day.
This is a remote-friendly, 4–6 month commitment at 10–20 hours/week during Eastern Time working hours. You're welcome to work from our NYC office in midtown, but it's not required. For the right person, this could develop into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to full-stack product features alongside the engineering team
- Help build and debug features across the stack with guidance from your manager
- Participate in code reviews — both giving and receiving feedback
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teammates to understand what gets built and why
Frontend: Typescript, React, MUI/Shadcn, Node.js
Backend: Python, Django, TypeScript, Node.js, MySQL, Postgres, AWS, GCP
Other tools: Linear, GitHub, Datadog, Cursor / Claude Code
Qualifications
- Familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language (TypeScript, Python, Java, C++, etc.)
- Willingness to work across a codebase — you don't need to be an expert, but you're eager to dig in and learn
- Strong communication skills — you ask questions, share context, and speak up when something's unclear
- Detail-oriented with a sense of ownership over your work
- Curiosity about how products are built and shipped
- Experience with third-party integrations or APIs (e.g., Nylas, Ampersand, or similar)
- Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript or Python
- Customer service mindset — we're a SaaS company, and empathy for end users matters
- Experience with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Comfort with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.)
- Ship real features: Your code will reach real users — not sit in a sandbox or a side project.
- Product market fit: Customers love our platform. You'll be improving a product people already depend on.
- Mentorship: You'll work closely with your manager and the engineering team, with regular feedback and support to help you grow.
- Growth: Get hands-on experience with a modern stack, third-party integrations, and professional software development at a Series A startup.
- Team: Join a collaborative, ambitious group with backgrounds at top tech and consulting firms.
$20/hour
Not all candidates will check all of the requirements listed above and that's ok! We are open to great people from non-traditional backgrounds.
