Intelizen helps healthcare providers capture the revenue they've already earned. We're an early-stage, high-ownership team building deep infrastructure across contract intelligence, automation, and analytics. We're hiring a strong software engineer who is comfortable across backend and full-stack development and excited to build AI-native systems, not just integrate APIs.
You'll work directly with the founding team to design and ship core product capabilities. You'll be:
- Designing scalable architecture
- Writing production-grade code
- Making foundational technical decisions
- Collaborating closely with product and customers
Tech Stack:
- Backend: Python (FastAPI), Node.js
- Frontend: React, TypeScript
- Data: Postgres, vector databases, Redis
- Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS), Docker
- AI stack: OpenAI / Anthropic APIs, embeddings, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation
Bonus experience:
- Document OCR pipelines
- Knowledge graphs
- Financial or revenue systems
- Secure, compliance-driven environments
Looking for:
- 1-3 years of hands-on engineering experience
- Strong backend fundamentals (APIs, data modeling, system design)
- Experience shipping production systems end-to-end
- Comfort working in ambiguity and moving quickly
- A genuine interest in developing deep AI competency
Preferred:
- Built LLM-powered features in production
- Designed structured prompts and outputs
- Worked with embeddings or vector search
- Used orchestration tools like LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Built AI agents, internal automation tools, or experimented deeply with LLM systems
