Role Description
We are looking for a UI/UX Design Intern to join our team remotely. This internship is unpaid, and the role involves creating user-centered designs, developing prototypes, and contributing to visual and interface design projects. Responsibilities include wireframing, creating mockups, refining designs based on user feedback, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience and ensure design consistency. The role offers a hands-on opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to impactful projects in the tech industry.
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX work for web and mobile products (wireframes, prototypes, and final UI screens).
- Proficiency in Figma (preferred), Adobe XD, or Sketch for user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Solid understanding of UX principles: information architecture, interaction design, usability heuristics, and user-centered design.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing and turning findings into design improvements.
- Ability to build and maintain design systems (components, style guides, and consistent patterns).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive/mobile-first design.
- Ability to collaborate closely with developers and provide clear design handoff (specs, states, edge cases).
- Basic front-end understanding (HTML/CSS and modern frameworks) to ensure design feasibility.
- Strong visual design skills (typography, color, spacing, hierarchy) with attention to detail.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and iteration mindset in a fast-paced team environment.
- Degree in Design/HCI/Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience); final-year students with strong portfolios can be considered.
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare/wellness products.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Hotjar, GA, Mixpanel) and data-informed design decisions.
- Experience designing for multilingual users.
