The Problem

Most of us know what we should do with our money. The problem isn't a lack of information; it’s a lack of willpower. Our "Present-Self" (who wants the latte now) constantly wins the fight against our "Future-Self" (who wants the house later).


What We Do

FinDi is a "willpower utility." We don't just give you a budget and hope for the best; we build the guardrails to keep you on track. We use smart automation to move your money where it needs to go and social accountability (our "Goalkeeper" system) to help you stop impulsive spending before it happens.

We are building the "autopilot" for your finances so you can stop worrying about the math and start living your life. Alongside our app, we run Jori, a high-touch coaching service that provides a "loving kick in the behind" to people who are ready to get serious about their financial goals.


Role Description

FinDi is looking for a detail-obsessed QA & Product Intern to ensure our "willpower utility" is flawless. In a fintech app that moves people’s real money, there is zero room for error. You will be responsible for breaking things before our users do.

This is an ideal role for a student or recent grad interested in Product Management, Software Engineering, or UX Design. You will work at the intersection of "How it works" and "How it feels," ensuring that every "loving kick in the behind" our app delivers is technically perfect. In this unpaid role, you will give direct feedback to the product team and help to design the product that will sit in our user's hands. Also, in our start-up environment, opportunities to work cross functionally abound.


Your Mission

  • Manual Testing: You will be the "First User" for every new feature. You’ll walk through app flows (onboarding, budget shuffling, goal setting) to find bugs, glitches, or confusing UX.
  • Bug Advocacy: When you find an issue, you won’t just report it; you’ll document it in Jira with clear steps to reproduce it, screenshots, and a description of why it matters to the user.
  • The "Stress Test": You’ll try to "cheat" the system. If the app is supposed to stop an impulsive purchase, can you find a way around it? You’ll help us strengthen our guardrails.
  • Regression Testing: Before we push an update, you’ll verify that the "old stuff" still works perfectly.
  • User Feedback Loop: You’ll help monitor support tickets to identify recurring technical issues and translate them into actionable tickets for the development team.

Qualificiations

  • Detail-Obsessed: You’re the person who notices a typo in a restaurant menu or a button that is 2 pixels off-center.
  • The "Professional Skeptic": You don't take "it works" for granted. You love trying to find the one weird edge case that breaks the logic.
  • Process-Oriented: You enjoy the structure of a testing checklist and the satisfaction of moving a Jira ticket to "Resolved."
  • Tech-Curious: You don't need to be a coder, but you should be comfortable learning tools like Jira, TestRail, or basic mobile dev environments (iOS/Android).
  • Mission-Driven: You understand that a bug in FinDi isn't just a glitch—it’s a moment where a user might lose trust in their financial plan.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field
