The Associate Project Manager (APM) plays a key role in supporting the planning and execution of ERP or software implementation projects at Fortude. Working under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, the APM is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project schedules and risks, and ensuring project activities progress according to the agreed methodology. The APM acts as the central point of contact for day-to-day project execution and drives timely delivery of assigned workstreams.
Main Duties/responsibilities
- Support all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Manage and track day-to-day project tasks and milestones to ensure progress against the plan.
- Coordinate across functional teams including consulting, development, and QA.
- Assist in developing detailed project schedules and maintaining project plans.
- Identify risks and issues proactively and escalate to the Project Manager where necessary.
- Monitor scope adherence and support in managing change control.
- Coordinate with the resource management team to ensure timely allocation of project resources.
- Facilitate internal and client meetings, document action items, and follow up for closure.
- Maintain project documentation including issue logs, risk registers, and status reports.
- Drive adherence to project quality standards and support audits or reviews as required.
- Contribute to project governance activities including reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Support planning and execution of key activities such as cutover and go-live.
- Assist in managing deliverables and tracking sign-offs from stakeholders.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in project management, including 1–2 years in Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager roles.
- Working knowledge of ERP/software delivery lifecycle
- Project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet)
- Understanding of budget tracking, forecasting, and change control
- Familiarity with documentation standards and project methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Willingness to travel based on project needs (local and overseas)
