The Role:
We are seeking a self-motivated WordPress Developer who can take ownership of projects and deliver exceptional results with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of professional WordPress websites, from understanding client requirements to deployment and maintenance. This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of in-office collaboration in Colombo and remote flexibility.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and customize professional WordPress websites for our international clients.
- Translate client requirements and branding guidelines into functional, high-performance websites.
- Develop custom themes, plugins, and UI components (e.g., hero sections, cards) using Elementor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Implement custom animations and interactive elements to enhance user experience.
- Ensure all websites are optimized for security, speed, and usability.
- Manage and optimize MySQL databases to ensure peak website performance.
- Collaborate with our team to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for client websites.
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1+ years of professional experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on professional websites.
- Proficiency in WordPress, Elementor, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of PHP and MySQL.
- Experience with custom coding, including creating custom themes and plugins from scratch.
- A keen eye for UI/UX design with the ability to translate branding guidelines into pixel-perfect, visually compelling websites.
- A strong understanding of website security, speed optimization, and usability best practices.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles and their application in WordPress.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver projects on time.
- Collaborative team player who works closely with colleagues to achieve goals.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with website hosting environments and server management.
- Experience with WooCommerce and building e-commerce websites.
