The Role:
- Provide system support for a line of business applications.
- Proactive identification of issues of assigned business systems and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Execute tasks related to systems operations.
- Liaise with vendors for escalated issues, change requests and ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
- Ensure that assigned business systems are complaint with Information Security controls and policies.
- Constant optimization of the performance of systems, capacity planning and risk assessment.
- Active planning and sequencing.
The Person:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in a relevant field.
- Certifications related to Microsoft Windows Server Administration, RHCE, CCNA, Oracle, Cloud would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 02 years of proven track record of installing, configuring and administration of systems and related technologies in Windows Server, Linux/Unix environments.
- Installing, configuring, and administering Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle Database related technologies would be an added advantage.
- Exposure in providing system support for critical line of business applications.
- Proven ability to learn new skills, adapt to new environment quickly and work independently.
- Strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence.
- Customer oriented attitude and good written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess analytical skills and ability to follow a structured approach to solve problems.
