Position Summary:
The Software/DB Level 1 Developer is an entry-level professional responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining basic software applications and relational databases under close supervision. Key tasks include writing SQL queries, performing data migration, testing code, troubleshooting, and assisting with database optimization to ensure system efficiency.

- Database Development: Create and maintain database structures, schemas, and tables, ensuring data integrity and security. Some examples include software applications using JavaScript, PHP, jQuery, VB.NET, and VBA.
- Software Engineering: Write and test code for software applications to improve performance and functionality. Optimize and troubleshoot SQL queries across relational databases.
- Data Management: Perform data cleanup, migrations, and backups while assisting with database design. Continue to support database design, logic, and reporting tasks.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Monitor system performance and debug database/application issues. Also, collaborate code reviews, debugging, and process improvements.
- Collaboration: Work with senior developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions. Assist with documentation and follow best practices in software and database development.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, jQuery, VB.NET, and VBA.
- Solid understanding of SQL databases and query logic.
- Basic understanding of software development, lifecycle and version control (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
