About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Front End Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Agility team. In this role, you will be instrumental in simplifying Agile software development at scale by bridging business and software development organizations through an intuitive platform. You will contribute to the development of Jira Align, our flagship enterprise agile planning product, and help us double down on our investment in this critical area. Your primary focus will be on designing and developing scalable, high-performance front-end applications that connect strategy to execution seamlessly. Working in a fully remote environment, you will collaborate with a distributed team of talented engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across different time zones, primarily within US Pacific or Mountain time zones. Your expertise will help shape the future of enterprise agility tools, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and impactful for our users worldwide.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience building large-scale frontend applications using React
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, including bundling, linting, testing, and deployment
- Proven success in mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Hands-on experience with microservice architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, SQS)
- Experience building integrations and data synchronization using event pub/sub models
