ArborXR is a purpose-built platform for managing and scaling XR deployments across enterprises, educational institutions, and large organizations. We make it easy to enroll and configure devices, remotely deploy apps and content, monitor device health, and control user experiences, all from a centralized web portal designed for XR at scale. Our enterprise-grade platform is trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide and is built with robust security and flexible integrations.
Beyond device and content management, ArborXR Insights provides powerful analytics and reporting, giving teams visibility into training outcomes, user engagement, completion rates, performance metrics, and ROI. Insights can also integrate with existing LMS and business intelligence tools so companies can measure impact and optimize their XR programs with real data.
We believe that XR should lead to deeper relationships, giving us our time back to be more present––not less. That it should ultimately enhance life and lead to individuals and communities flourishing.
Our vision for XR is a future where people use XR as a tool, not as an escape.
We’ve already seen an explosion of these kinds of VR and AR applications. Groundbreaking medical advances. VR therapy for PTSD, architectural simulations, 3D engineering, pain management without pills, aircraft simulators, and more.
XR can help pilots train faster, engineers collaborate more effectively, and doctors save lives. We know that this vision differs from the driving visions of major consumer tech giants.
The fundamentals of the attention economy mean that the more hours you can control someone’s eyeballs, the more money you make.
Spencer Hunt, from 20th Century Fox, put it this way. “The future of XR is not about a gadget at all, it’s not about taking us to other places, shooting zombies, or playing ping pong with friends. Today’s XR industry leaders are making a land grab, they are making these investments for more than sales of hardware and software. They are truly looking to be a part of our soul.”
XR has the potential to be the most distracting and soul-sucking technology ever invented.
Part of our mission at ArborXR is to be a countervailing force in the industry, to align with like-minded organizations, and to be a positive force as this new technology develops.
The Role
Hello!
You’ve probably read a hundred job descriptions by now, so we’ll keep this one straightforward.
We’re growing our engineering team and looking for a Front End Developer with a strong focus on UI/UX, working primarily in PHP, Laravel, and Livewire.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating product intent and design into clean, maintainable interfaces — and who cares just as much about how something works as how it looks.
What You’ll Do
You’ll join an established, cross-functional product team and work closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to build thoughtful, reliable, and user-friendly interfaces. You’ll develop customer-facing features end-to-end, contribute to our Laravel/Livewire codebase, and help shape the next generation of our immersive device management platform.
More Specifically, You Will
- Build and improve features using Laravel, Livewire, and modern front-end patterns
- Partner closely with design to bring polished UI/UX experiences to life
- Work with product managers to clarify requirements, surface trade-offs, and propose pragmatic solutions
- Contribute to code quality through testing, refactoring, and shared conventions
- Collaborate with other product teams to ensure consistency and reusable patterns across the platform
- We’re a team of ~50
- Fully remote
- Low-process, high-trust culture
- No startup grind
- You’ll work with a mature product team — not be left on an island
- We’re building genuinely interesting software, and our product continues to grow
We value clear thinking over polished writing. We celebrate the human side of our team.
When including your cover letter, please include short answers to the questions below.
- Describe a UI or front-end change you shipped that looked “small” but turned out to be more complex than expected. What made it tricky, and what did you learn from it?
- What’s one front-end or UI/UX practice you think is often over-emphasized? When does it stop adding value in real products?
We read every application carefully — we genuinely want to understand what motivates you and why this role excites you.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience with Laravel
- Experience building front-end or UI-heavy features (Livewire experience is a bonus)
- Appreciation for clean, reusable, well-tested code
- Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Strong interest in UI/UX implementation and polish
- Experience working on a fully remote team
- Laravel Filament experience
- Kubernetes experience
- Google Cloud Platform experience
- Location: Remote (U.S. or Canada only)
- Equity: Stock option plan (1-year cliff / 4-year vest)
- Full healthcare benefits
- Unlimited PTO
