About the Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst with hands-on experience in the Insurance domain to support business stakeholders in defining, analyzing, and improving insurance processes and systems. This role is primarily functional, focusing on business requirements, process analysis, and stakeholder collaboration rather than deep technical implementation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance products and workflows and be comfortable working closely with business users, product owners, and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Understand and document insurance business processes, workflows, and pain points
- Prepare clear and structured Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and use cases
- Support process mapping and improvement initiatives using tools such as flow diagrams and process models
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood
- Participate in UAT planning and execution, including test case preparation and defect validation
- Support product enhancements, regulatory changes, and operational improvements
- Assist in stakeholder communication, requirement walkthroughs, and sign-off sessions
- Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst (internship experience not considered)
- Hands-on experience in the Insurance domain is mandatory
- Strong understanding of insurance concepts such as:
- Policy lifecycle (quotation, underwriting, issuance, endorsements, renewals)
- Claims management processes
- Premiums, riders, exclusions, and policy administration
- Experience in requirements gathering and documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
