Role Overview
OuterSpace Digital is looking for a full-time WordPress Developer / Website Product Owner who can take end-to-end ownership of client websites. This role goes beyond development. You will be responsible for how websites are built, optimized, maintained, and delivered to international standards.
We are looking for someone who treats websites as products, not one-off tasks, and who is comfortable being accountable for quality, performance, SEO readiness, and delivery timelines.
This is a long-term growth role for someone who wants to build a career within a digital agency working on international projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites for local and international clients
- Take full ownership of website delivery, performance, and maintenance
- Work closely with the creative and UI/UX design team to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively
- Ensure websites are SEO-friendly, performance-optimized, and technically sound
- Manage plugins, themes, updates, backups, and security best practices
- Troubleshoot website issues and provide ongoing technical support
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with client expectations
- Implement best practices related to Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile responsiveness
- Assist in evaluating and implementing AI-powered tools or workflows where relevant (content, automation, optimization)
- Maintain proper documentation and handover notes for websites
Required Skill Set
- Proven experience building WordPress websites (custom themes, builders, or hybrid approaches)
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, plugins, and hosting environments
- Solid knowledge of technical SEO and website optimization
- Experience working with design files (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers and internal teams
Nice-to-Have (Add-On Skills)
- Design sense or basic UI/UX knowledge
- Experience with AI tools for web development, automation, or content workflows
- Familiarity with performance tools such as PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or Lighthouse
- Experience working with international clients or agency environments
