Our US-based client is looking for an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join their growing team in Sri Lanka.
Candidate Profile
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL development
- Expert in writing complex, optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
- Strong understanding of T-SQL, indexing, query plans, blocking, transactions, and performance optimization
- Solid knowledge of database design principles and best practices
- Experience using built-in and external DB tools (SQL Profiler, DMVs, etc.)
- Experience with large-scale databases is a strong advantage
- Excellent English communication skills to collaborate directly with the US onsite team
- Immediate joiners will receive priority consideration
- Bonus: Experience with ETL processes, Python, and Apache Airflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance existing SQL Server and PostgreSQL tables, views, and stored procedures
- Design and develop new database objects to support ongoing business needs
- Collaborate with the architecture team to improve database design and performance
- Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and best practices
- Contribute to ETL workflows (if experienced)
