About ClusterX
ClusterX is a fast moving engineering firm that focuses on product development. We design, develop, and deliver software solutions that help businesses operate smarter and scale faster. We value first-principles thinking, ownership, and high quality deliveries of everything we build.
About the Role
As a Junior QA Engineer, you’ll play a key role in making sure we ship high-quality products. You’ll work closely with engineers and product teams to test features, identify issues early, and think from a real user’s perspective.
This role is ideal for someone who’s curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn how modern software products are built, tested, and improved through real user feedback.
What You’ll Be Doing
•
Test product features from a real user’s perspective
•
Identify bugs, edge cases, and usability issues before users do
•
Work closely with developers to reproduce, track, and verify fixes
•
Write and maintain clear test cases, checklists, and QA documentation
•
Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing
•
Help improve QA processes as the product and team grow
•
Be involved early — not just at the end of a release
What We’re Looking For
•
Basic understanding of software testing concepts (manual testing, test cases, bug reporting)
•
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
•
Ability to think like a user and spot things that feel “off”
•
Good communication skills - explaining issues clearly matters
•
Comfortable writing clear and concise documentation for the team
•
Willingness to take ownership of quality for assigned areas.
•
Interest in working closely with engineering and product teams
Nice to Have
•
Familiarity with testing tools such as Mocha, Jest, Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
•
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or Notion
•
Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman, similar tools)
What You’ll Get
•
Hands-on experience testing real products used by real users
•
A strong understanding of how products are built end to end
•
Exposure to product, engineering, and release workflows
•
A safe environment to ask questions and learn fast
•
Ownership, trust, and space to grow your QA skills
