The Provider Engineering team is seeking a talented software engineer intern, passionate about creating life-saving technology for doctors and patients, to join Practice Fusion for an 11-week summer 2026 internship.
Our cloud-based EHR is an ambitious Services Oriented Architecture hosted in AWS and written primarily in .NET, utilizing WebApi and WCF with a combination of ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core.
Responsibilities
Support services engineering with a variety of projects, including:
- Taking on the challenge of solving complex technical problems to deliver vital, reliable product features to our customers
- Work with stakeholders to ensure the solution meets business needs
- Write correct, well-factored code that is testable and maintainable, and that demonstrates best practices
- Write high quality, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with fellow developers, test engineers, designers, and product management
- Deliver in a highly-agile, cross-functional Scrum environment
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Currently a senior enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline
- 3.0+ GPA preferred
- Proficient at programming in object-oriented languages, preferably C#
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be a self-starter and possess strong sense of self-motivation
