About the Role:
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will join our core engineering team to build and maintain the platform that powers thousands of Sri Lankan businesses. You will work on everything from automating complex tax calculations to building seamless document management systems. This role is perfect for a software engineer who is eager to write clean code, learn modern architecture, and see their work directly impact the local SME ecosystem.
Requirements to apply:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 1-2 years experience in full-stack development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, with a strong focus on Vue.js & Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and API Communications.
- Comprehensive understanding of both front-end and back-end processes.
- Ability to produce clean, readable, and well-documented code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
If you are selected for the vacancy your job responsibilities would include:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using Vue.js, Node.js, and other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Design and implement scalable APIs and services using Node.js.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
- Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic in a cohesive and efficient manner.
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Actively contribute to all development lifecycle phases, from analysis to deployment.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Work with NoSQL (Firebase and MongoDB) databases, ensuring sound database design principles.
