Associate Lead - Quality Assurance

Xeynergy is a Software Development and IT Services company based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, providing development and QA services to reputed offshore clients in the US and Europe. We are a growing team of highly skilled professionals who collaborate closely with top international product and engineering teams.

We are looking for an Associate Lead – QA to work remotely for a reputed US client while supporting the internal QA practice at Xeynergy.

What you will be doing

• Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure clarity and testability.
• Creating comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Executing functional, regression, UI, and API testing.
• Maintaining bug repositories, ensuring proper prioritization and severity classification.
• Communicating testing progress, quality risks, and defects to developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Defining and applying best practices in using the test automation frameworks
• Documenting QA-related assets (test plans, test reports, release notes, bug templates, user flows, etc.) on collaboration tools such as Azure Wiki.
• Mentoring junior QAs and supporting their day-to-day tasks.
• Conducting peer reviews of test cases, test results, and QA documents.
• Participating in internal QA forums and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Supporting the recruitment process for junior/intermediate QA roles.
• Contributing to continuous improvements in QA processes, tools, and best practices.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Software QA, including functional and regression testing.
• Good understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and defect management processes.
• Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, AccelQ, Cypress, etc.) will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork.
