About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern for a full-time, on-site position based in Kandy. You will work closely with our engineering team to design, develop, test, and deploy modern web applications while following industry-level development workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and maintaining web applications using the MERN stack
• Collaborate with senior developers on feature implementation and bug fixes
• Write clean, readable, and reusable code
• Work with REST APIs, databases, and cloud-based environments
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
• Research and propose solutions to technical challenges
• Maintain project documentation and follow development workflows
Required Qualifications
- Currently an undergraduate in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals (JavaScript preferred)
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB
- Experience with Git/GitHub
- Understanding of Agile development practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be based in Kandy or able to commute
