Job Title: IT Support Intern (6-Month Internship)

Location: Jaffna

Department: IT / Technical Support

Duration: 6 Months (Paid Internship)

Stipend: LKR 20,000/month

Potential Full-Time Salary: Up to LKR 100,000/month

Conversion Opportunity: High intent to convert to full-time based on performance

Reporting To: IT Support Engineer / IT Manager


Role Summary

Join Teceze’s IT Support team to gain hands-on experience in technical troubleshooting, system maintenance, and end-user support. You’ll assist in daily IT operations, hardware/software configuration, and network monitoring, helping ensure smooth technology operations across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and peripheral devices.
  • Help with user account creation, password resets, and access management.
  • Support troubleshooting for printers, emails, VPNs, and connectivity issues.
  • Monitor and log IT requests in the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain inventory records of IT assets and assist with equipment setup for new joiners.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure data security and compliance with company policies.


What You’ll Learn

  • End-to-end exposure to IT support operations in a corporate environment.
  • Hands-on experience with system configuration, troubleshooting, and helpdesk tools.
  • Knowledge of network management, security practices, and asset handling.
  • Communication and collaboration skills for supporting cross-functional teams.


Qualifications

  • Final-year student or recent graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow standard procedures.
  • Prior internship or exposure to IT support is an added advantage.

  • Operating Systems: Windows / macOS / Linux
  • Support & Ticketing Tools: Jira, Freshservice, or equivalent
  • Communication & Collaboration: Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace
  • Security & Monitoring: Antivirus software, VPN, and internal monitoring systems
