Associate QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Support requirement understanding, test planning, and identifying clear test

conditions during reviews.

• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases; perform functional, regression,

and exploratory testing.

• Validate product functionality against specifications and document results with

clarity and accuracy.

• Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers to reproduce issues

and verify fixes.

• Assist in setting up and validating test environments and coordinate with

technical teams for readiness.

• Contribute to automation by maintaining basic test scripts and learning

automation frameworks under guidance.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to clarify scope, highlight

risks, and resolve requirement gaps.

• Maintain test repositories, execution reports, and support overall QA process

improvements and documentation.

• Communicate testing progress, blockers, and risks to the QA Lead; participate in

Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

• Stay updated with QA tools, best practices, and take initiative to learn new

testing techniques and technologies.

• Participate in release testing to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of QA or software testing experience, including internships or

academic projects.

• Basic understanding of testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC

processes.

• Familiarity with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is an added

advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a logical approach to

testing.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills for reporting and

collaboration.

• Team player with the ability to follow guidance from senior QA members.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to delivering quality

work.
