We are looking for a passionate and skilled AI Team Lead to join our team. You will lead a team of AI and backend engineers. Your responsibilities will centre on the development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable AI Projects, with a specific focus on agentic AI and video/audio machine learning. Success requires close partnership with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to deliver intelligent solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Machine Learning Engineers and Software Engineers with Python and similar skills, guiding them through project execution and innovation.
- Define the technical direction and architecture for highly scalable, efficient, and secure end-to-end AI solutions using modern frameworks and cloud platforms.
- Take responsibility for end-to-end delivery while meeting deadlines and ensuring quality.
- Implement MLOps pipelines to increase efficiency and support CI/CD workflows.
- Guide the team in adopting best practices for ML engineering, software quality, and smooth project execution.
- Actively participate in coding, model development, and problem-solving activities.
- Conduct timely code reviews to ensure performance, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
- Implement security protocols to safeguard data and ensure compliance.
- Use debugging and performance monitoring tools to optimise ML pipelines.
- Integrate cloud-based ML services using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Apply modern design patterns to ensure long-term scalability and reliability.
- Optimise and deploy AI solutions across cloud servers, on-premise servers, and edge devices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 05+ years of hands-on experience in software and machine learning development, and 03+ years of leadership or mentoring experience in ML engineering teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, backend API development, and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and Keras, as well as agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and CrewAI.
- Strong understanding of AI agent concepts.
- Strong algorithmic and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of ML/DL architectures, algorithms, signal processing, statistics, probability, and data structures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and on-premise server configurations for model deployment.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI) is an added advantage.

- A growth mindset, strong leadership presence, and a passion for advancing AI and computer vision technologies that create real impact.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience contributing to ML model architecture modifications.
- Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment.
- Contributions to open-source ML projects or participation in algorithm/AI competitions.
- Good understanding of Software development in Python and related frameworks.
