🚀 We’re Hiring: Tech Lead - Fullstack (Node.js + Next.js/React.js)
📍 Location: Colombo / Hybrid
🕒 1-Year Contract | 💼 7-8+ Years of Experience
We’re looking for a hands-on Tech Lead who can take ownership of complex backend systems, lead a team of developers, and drive technical decisions across high-impact projects.
🔧Key Responsibilities
✨Lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance Node.js middleware and microservices.
🔗Architect and implement RESTful & GraphQL APIs using Express.js and Next.js.
⚙️Guide the design and maintenance of robust microservices that support critical system functionality.
🔌Integrate backend services with external systems (e.g., SAP) using Amazon SQS and other AWS services.
🤝Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless API delivery.
🔐Oversee API Gateway configurations and ensure secure, standards-compliant communication protocols.
🛠️Lead troubleshooting efforts, performance optimization, and system scalability strategies.
📦Play a key role in sprint planning, release coordination, and technical mentoring of team members.
✅Required Qualifications
🧠7-8+ years of experience in fullstack development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
📦Deep expertise in Node.js, Next.js, and/or React.js (Next.js preferred).
🧱Proven experience with microservices architecture and scalable backend systems.
☁️Hands-on with AWS services: API Gateway, Lambda, SQS.
🔐Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure API design.
🧪Solid testing experience using Jest, Mocha, or similar.
🐇Exposure to messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka is a plus.
💼Leadership & Collaboration Competencies
🧭Ability to lead a development team, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering standards.
🧠Strong decision-making skills in architecture and technology selection.
📣Excellent communication - able to translate complex technical ideas to both internal dev teams and external stakeholders.
🤝Collaborative mindset with experience working across DevOps, QA, and Product teams.

🐳 Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
