We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our software engineering team. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality products through comprehensive testing, continuous quality improvements, and close collaboration with developers, product managers, and designers. You will play a key part in shaping our quality standards and enhancing the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using standard bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and reviews as part of the Agile development process.
- Validate new features and ensure compatibility across devices and browsers.
- Support release cycles by performing smoke tests and production validations.
- Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in software QA testing.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, JMeter, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Additional skills that help you stand out:
- Experience with API automation testing.
- Knowledge of SQL / databases for data validation.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Mobile testing experience (Android/iOS).
